This is a full time, senior level consulting position requiring expert knowledge of the entire Microsoft product line for small and medium size businesses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a representative of BNC, you will be responsible for:
- Working as a consultant to our clients to support primarily Microsoft networks, desktops, and servers.
- Managing system and/or network issues to resolution within our client base.
- Managing new installations and migrations.
- Identifying ways to improve our clients’ systems and infrastructure (upgrades to hardware, software, and network).

This is a full time Sales Architect position in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This position is technically comparable to an IT Manager position. As the initial contact for accounts, you will be designing new information technology solutions for businesses ranging in size from 15 to 500 users. The majority of the projects will be based on Microsoft Windows operating systems, BackOffice applications and some WAN technologies. Previous experience working with these products is required. Overall, you must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment. If you possess these skills and traits, the technical details of the position follow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meeting with business owners to identify, design, and manage IT projects
- You will be responsible for writing 2 to 3 proposals per week
- Be able to explain and sell our service offerings and perform network audits for potential clients
- Oversee administrative activities on the projects, such as reviewing time reported by project team members and meeting coordination in order to maintain weekly pipeline reports
- Assist in managing customer accounts
- Building and maintaining partnerships and industry relationships
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience required
- Experience working as a Windows network administrator in 2 or more environments
- Strong working knowledge of NT/2000/2003, Exchange, Active Directory, LAN’s, WAN’s
- Experience with common anti-virus, backup, and remote access
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to recommend appropriate and emerging technologies that will benefit our customers
- MCSE and Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred

Fall is definitely in full swing here in Denver! With everything exciting going on, such as the Rockies going to the World Series and the ski resorts starting to open for another season, it is sometimes easy to forget other important, but not as exciting, happenings like Daylight Saving Time.
I am writing today to remind everything that the ‘fall back’ of the daylight saving time change this year is one week later than it was last year, as mandated by the Energy Savings Act of 2005. That means it will go into effect on November 4th. As far as your computer is concerned, certain Microsoft updates are applied to your computers, but it is possible that the time zone settings for your system clock may be incorrect during this week-long period. Please note that Microsoft has made additional Daylight Savings Time and time zone changes since those released in January 2007. Provided that you apply the applicable Windows updates to all your computers, most software products are not directly affected by this change. However, those who use third-party integrations that affect your calendar scheduling (like Outlook, Palm and other mobile devices) should ensure that they apply any patches or updates made available by those third-party vendors and follow their recommendations for avoiding appointment inconsistencies. Also remember to keep your Server and all Workstation date/time settings in sync to ensure accuracy of system-generated items, including notifications. I would also like to recommend that you check all of your appointments during the adjustment periods to confirm that they are correctly scheduled.
